There's a strong zero waste movement out in the world and I am so pro-that, but when I first started working to minimize my waste it felt like I would never get to that point. The feeling of "never good enough" felt crippling, rather than motivating. So I now focus my efforts on a minimal-waste lifestyle. I have gradually (and sometimes not so gradually) made changes that limit the wast my family and I produce. Being zero waste won't save the world, but making intentional efforts in daily life that reflect your stated values sure can make a big difference.
